Girls without a father, like ‘Aubra’, if they overcome,
avoiding the monstrosities Disney’s work has overdone,
then they might be ahead of the game.
The rest of the ‘blessed’ girls - just lookin’ for fresh
pearls -
they all look the same
to me.
You see, I glean
from every woman that I’ve seen,
from those with hearts shattered, and hidden, among the
crack fiends
to the put-together, laced up, the ‘you ain’t worth me’’s
and neither category has ever been enough for me. I mean,
that’s the problem, isn’t it? There’s so much data to take
in,
before you make a big decision, like is she worth it?
Well, it takes time to travel, live, and experience all the
dead ends,
like making all the mistakes, to balance out the few wins.
But then there’s Aubra, made of flesh and water,
she oughtta be the queen of the game, but she’s against the mass slaughter
of all of these souls, boys and girls. Like her life has
taught her:
“You’ll never know what true love is, unless you learn to falter.”
falter to the altar...
