Peaks/Spikes of Creativity

"To write is to capture a moment in its fullness."
"To write is to create an experience that wouldn't ordinarily happen in reality."

Fusing the two is very, VERY dangerous. Brethren, please be careful. The mind wonders into the created, imaginative worlds it creates when not satisfied with reality. Then, it can convince itself that said fantastical worlds are realities that have not yet happened. The result is often a lifetime of disappointment for the creative mind.

  1. hmmm. good food for thought. i never thought of writing in that way before, but i can see the potentially dangerous combination. in fact, looking back i think i may have mixed those elements to disastrous results on previous occasion.

  2. is this a quote or a thought?
I am not sure I agree with it... if the writer is so predisposed to make fiction reality than could it not be said that any work of fiction is dangerous to such a mind whether composed of it's own or entered through reading of another's... then again so many writers, musicians and artists are other minded and often crack under the pressure of societal norms... hmmm... I see the point... but then, yet again, if fear of disappointment curbs creativity, other ills shall surely befall the writer... so since life is full of disappointments anyway... I say write on and live your life away be it in the fictional or real (just try to keep a perspective on which is which ;)
