Today's turned leaf was vivid,
and on which was inscribed
the following words of wisdom,
which tend to confound the wise:
"Love those who love you,
but the only way is to die
to all the selfless empathy
that has helped you by and by.
Words can't heal a bleeding heart,
that only comes with time,
so let go of what you know can heal
and trust in the Divine."
i feel like i might be leaving this kind of comment alot, but i liked this poem too. because it rhymed (in my mind poetry always rhymes), and because of the allusions to scripture hence the foundation of truth.
